Pregnancy Thoughts

It's early Saturday morning, Rob is gone to his men's meeting at church, it's raining (finally!) and I thought I'd take a moment and post my latest pregnancy picture up on my blog and write a bit about this pregnancy journey.

We're coming into the home stretch now! I'll be full term on Tuesday which is so hard for me to believe. Has it really been almost nine months since we found out we were having a baby? Time truly does go so fast.

It's a little more than a bump these days!

These months have been so precious and in some ways I'm not ready for the baby to be here and for everything to really change. But on the other hand I am so excited to meet this baby and hold him or her in my arms. We really are starting a new adventure and that is exciting to me. I know it will be a lot of work and will be stressful at times, but by God's grace and provision I really think we're going to be just fine.

I'm so thankful I've had a very smooth pregnancy and everything seems to be right on track. The baby is still head down (as far as I can tell) and will hopefully stay that way and not go anywhere else! Every night we lay in bed and tell the baby to stay put and then poke at all the knobby parts sticking out and moving around and try to guess what they are. A knee perhaps? An elbow or heel? We often wish we could see inside!

Our nursery is really sweet and is slowly coming together as I have energy to be crafty and creative. I often wish Erica lived closer so she could help me! She is quickly becoming a very good DIY queen and has been helpful to pass along ideas. I should be able to post some photos of our nursery sometime soon.

We would so appreciate your prayers as we move into the last waiting game here and anticipate our baby's arrival. I am so excited for you all to meet our baby either in person or through photos on this blog! Hopefully he or she will be here soon.

Love,
Kate
